stair install part 2

With the integral landing stair install complete, focus has now shifted to the parallam stair install.  These will have posts and landing fabricated on site, and will be more time consuming due to the custom nature of the work.  Fortunately the basement stairs were able to be installed and the landings will support the stairs to the second floor.

With the landing built, the heavy set of six rise stairs were slid into place from the main floor.  

This is the basement stair as shown from the top floor.  With these in place the final basement framing can take place

Ready for install!

Stair install part 1

The first set of stairs to be installed features integral landings.  This means the landing and the treads are connected and self supporting.  Once bolted to the wall, no further structural support is required.
